The next meeting of the Board of Directors will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday August 14, 2000 at the McClung residence, 409 Monarch Bay Drive. A homeowner forum will be held at the beginning of the meeting, to provide the homeowners with an opportunity to discuss issues directly with the Board. The September Board meeting will be held on Monday, September 11, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at the McLeish residence, 101 Monarch Bay Drive.
BEACH CLUB RULES
You may have noticed that the current invoices from the Club request that you make your check payable to "Markar Enterprises Inc." We have asked for clarification of the status of Markar Enterprises and its relationship to the Club. Until further notice, your checks should continue to be payable to the Monarch Bay Club.
We have also learned that the Club is not enforcing the rule that requires the sponsor or host member to be present at Club parties. If you have a beach party scheduled through the Club, it will be necessary for you to check with the Gate Guard on the day of the event before your guests will be admitted. This rule goes into effect August 1, 2000.
Although the Club may not be enforcing the rule with regard to host members being present during Club parties, it is a requirement that guests to the Club must be accompanied by the member hosts. If you are having guests to the Club, please meet them at your residence first and then accompany them to the Club to avoid parking difficulties.
Parking on Beach Club Drive and Mall area streets is restricted only to non-red curb designated areas, and only for Monarch Bay resident vehicles with valid decals and/or guests of homeowners within the Mall area (addresses 311-436 Monarch Bay Drive) with valid guest passes displayed. All other vehicles will be subject to immediate towing at the owner's expense.
2000 ANNUAL MEETING OF THE MEMBERS
The 2000 Annual Meeting of the Members is quickly approaching. There will be three directors each elected for a three year term at this year's annual meeting. At this time, only two of the incumbent directors have decided to run once again. If you are interested in volunteering to serve on the Board of Directors for a three year term, please contact one of the three Nominating Committee Members: Doug McLeish, Charlie McClung and Gary Dapelo.
