NEXT BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
The next meeting of the Board of Directors will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday October 12, 2000 at the Dapelo residence, 141 Monarch Bay Drive. A homeowner forum will be held at the beginning of the meeting, to provide the homeowners with an opportunity to discuss issues directly with the Board. The November Board meeting will be held on Monday, November 13, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at the Powell residence, 115 Monarch Bay Drive.
MONARCH BAY GARDEN CLUB NEWS
We are pleased to announce that Margi Rawi has agreed to accept a second term as president of the Garden Club. She and other Board members have planned a series of programs for the 2000-2001 year. An invitation to join and a schedule of events was recently placed in your mail boxes. Our treasurer, Sylvia Langford at 154, is accepting membership dues of $20.00. We look forward to having you join us!
COMMUNITY COCKTAIL PARTY
On Sunday, October 1st, the Annual Community Fall Cocktail Party will take place at the residence of Peter and Karen Burke. Their beautiful home and gardens at #177 will be the setting for the 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. event. As always, there will be a no-host bar and hors d'oeuvres will be provided by members of the Garden Club. All residents are encouraged to attend this casual neighborhood gathering. There will be a flyer in the mail with all of the details. We hope you can join us for this fun event!

There will be three directors each elected for a three year term at this year's annual meeting. If you have not already done so, please mail or fax your proxy/ballots today! We hope to see you there. NEW RESIDENTS
David and Cody Ball of San Juan Capistrano have purchased #130 and will be moving in after renovation and room additions are completed. They are the parents of nine children and were formerly residents of Oregon where several of their children are attending college. Their two daughters who will be residents of Monarch Bay, Taylor, 14 and Bennett, 17 are students at Dana Hills High School. David has a number of franchises for Carl's Junior restaurants that are located in Northern California and Cody is associated with Slater and Sloane, Inc., a ladies classic clothing store in San Juan Capistrano.
Joe and Ingrid Torre of Montville, New Jersey, and the owners of #329, have purchased the home of Dr. Don Cram and the late Dr. Jane Cram. Their friends, Nick Church and Chris Warren, who have leased #329, are now residing at the former Cram residence at #25.
