4TH OF JULY PARADE

Meet at the Rawi Residence at #203 Monarch Bay Drive to assemble at 9:00 a.m. The Parade starts at 9:15 a.m. Refreshments and food will be served after the Parade. Please invite children, grandchildren and friends. We hope to see you there!

DANA POINT HISTORICAL SOCIETY - HOME TOUR
As many of you know, the Dana Point Historical Society is going to be conducting its Third Annual Historic Home Tour on Sunday, October 6th, from 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This year’s tour will feature homes in Monarch Bay and will include a reception at our park next to the tennis court.

So far, five homeowners have agreed to have their homes on the tour, but we need one or two more homes. We are particularly looking for homes that maintain their original look and feel or that have kept some of their original architectural features, if they have been substantially remodeled. If you are interested in the possibility of having your home on the tour, please call Don Burnes and Alice Baum at 488-0427. They would love to hear from you.

Also, Don and Alice are looking for docents to help them on tour day in the homes on the tour. If you are interested in helping out in that way, please call them.

In the next Bay Banter, we will have a flyer about the tour with ticket information. It should be a great, fun day, so please mark your calendars. And, if you want to help, either by having your home on the tour of by being a docent, please call Alice and Don.

NEXT BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
The next meeting of the Board of Directors will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2002 at the Selby residence, 331 Monarch Bay Drive. A homeowner forum will be held at the beginning, to provide the homeowners with an opportunity to discuss issues directly with the Board. The August meeting will be held on Monday, August 12th at the Anderson residence, 241 Monarch Bay Drive.

2002 VEHICLE DECAL PROGRAM
Thank you for your cooperation in submitting your vehicle information to enable us to issue new decals for 2002. If you have not already submitted the form to obtain your decals, please pick up a form at the guardhouse so that we may complete this process.

PROTECT OUR BEACH
If you observe anyone depositing any foreign substance (such as concrete debris) into our gutters and storm drain system, please contact the City of Dana Point Code Enforcement Officer, Angela Duzich, at 248-3565. The Code Enforcement Program of the Department of Community Development receives and investigates potential violations of the Municipal Code for Dana Point. The Code Enforcement officers use a systematic approach to gain compliance and elimination of the code violations.

TREE/VIEW POLICY
As our wonderful weather season is once again upon us and we find ourselves spending more time outside, we wish to remind each owner of their obligation to trim trees and plant material on your property to help protect your neighbor’s views. Please refer to the complete Tree/View Policy reprinted in your 2002 Membership Directory (pages 49-51) for further information. Thank you for your cooperation.
